Dr. Rick Olazabal is a naturopathic doctor with a clinical niche in endocrine and metabolic conditions. He is a regulated member of the College of Naturopaths of Ontario. He is also a professional member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors, the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors, the Endocrine Society, and a supporter of the Thyroid Foundation of Canada.
He acknowledges the perceived gaps and limitations in the conventional patient care setting, and strives to address them by working in a collaborative manner. He has prescribing rights, is certified in intravenous nutrient therapy, and provides contemporary acupuncture; thus, patients can explore a variety of treatment options.
Dr. Olazabal completed his science education at McMaster University, where he earned two degrees. Prior to his studies in naturopathic medicine, he attended medical school in the United Kingdom. He underwent clinical training at the Brampton Civic Hospital, and the Sherbourne Health Centre, providing care to underserved populations.
Dr. Olazabal is committed to scientific research, and the advancement of evidence-based natural medicine. He previously held a clinical research position with the Department of Research & Clinical Epidemiology at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.
